MSHA is now accepting proposals for papers for its 2014 Annual Convention, set for Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Sheraton in Towson, Maryland. In order to bring excellent speakers and cutting-edge topics to convention, we are posting our Call for Papers early. If you are interested in presenting, or know a speaker that might like to present, please contact us. Please note deadlines below for submitting papers.You may submit applications by mail or suggestions by email; online registrations will open soon.

April 20th Adult Service Delivery CEU Event: Student Scholar Presentations |

The Adult Service Delivery Committee of the Maryland Speech Language Hearing Association presents the Student Scholar Discussions. Earn CEUs and support two of Maryland's most outstanding students in speech-language pathology as each leads a presentation with discussion about an article that has particularly inspired them during their academic career. This 1.5-hour presentation will focus on the review and discussion of two peer-reviewed journal articles, with learner outcomes as indicated below.

Executive Board Chooses Maryland ASHA Representatives |

The Executive Board selected the following individuals at the December 2012 board meeting to represent Maryland (MSHA) in statewide networks with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The term for each of these positions is from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2014.

State Advocates for Reimbursement (STARs) Gloria Petit-Clair
State Education Advocacy Leaders (SEALS) Lori Crum-Sweely

MSHA Awards Two Graduate Scholarships |

The Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association chose two accomplished Maryland graduate students in the field of Speech-Language Pathology to receive $500 scholarships in 2012. The students were recognized in the Opening Session of MSHA's Annual Convention on May 4, 2012.
